Transcending Legalism (How to Surf the Tao Lesson 4)

How internalizing virtue, and cultivating virtue in cultures is better than legalism, and how transcending legalism helps us to surf the Tao and evade religious and ideological manipulators. The three chapters we focus on for this lesson are 18, 27, and 38. We also discuss how charity can be weaponized and reinforce hierarchies. We mention the documentary My Octopus Teacher as a movie that illustrates many important things about the Tao.
